Veolia "Green-Washing" Called Out

This week's Alton Herald has a feature article on Veolia's "green-washing", attempting to make their proposals for a massive commercial incinerator in the countryside near Alton appear to have more environmental benefits than they actually have.

Called out is the claim that the plant will be "carbon-capture ready", that it will "power a local heat network" and that it is "designed to meet Hampshire's needs", alongside the facts provided by the No Wey Incinerator group.

Veolia was asked for a quote for the article, and included a number of the "green-washing" fictions in their statement.
