Hampshire County Council have deferred the decision on the planning application from Veolia for a controversial giant commercial incinerator proposal, until "the autumn", the Alton Herald reports.
More than 5,200 planning objections have been lodged, from 3 borough and district councils, 19 parish councils, and thousands of businesses, residents and farmers.
The No Wey Incinerator group continue to work behind the scenes even with this delay.
