The current issue of the Vantage Point Magazine features an article by Suzanne Goldring highlighting the battle by local residents to prevent Veolia getting planning permission for their massive incinerator in the Wey Valley.
The article highlights the hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO2 that will be emitted by the plant, that incineration harms recycling, and that feeding the constantly-running incinerator will lead to more traffic, carrying commercial rubbish from across the South to the facility, and hazardous waste away.
