Articles appeared in the Alton and Farnham Herald, as well as the Basingstoke Observer, on the story, with fears being raised that the behaviour of the HCC Planning department suggests that HCC is biased towards Veolia in this highly controversial application.

No Wey Incinerator, who discovered the critical documents in various Freedom of Information requests made to HCC, are calling for the Council to be fully transparent in their dealings with this application.
